Kylie Jenner’s Iconic Makeup Look — FACECHART Drawing With Makeup
Let’s talk about this Kylie Jenner makeup look recreated with makeup on paper. Anyone can learn how to do the Kylie Jenner look like this facechart, and in this short blog I explain how to achieve it.
Some time ago, I was approached by a representative from Hearst Magazines because they were obsessed with my face chart content. The question was whether they could share content, but we had a better proposal; “If we create content especially for you, who would you most like to see?” The answer was quick and clear — there are many favorites, but if we have the choice, then preferably Kylie Jenner!
Kylie always looks sensational, is always hot and happening, and is highly sought after on all media channels. I’ve “done Kylie” many times before. Ever since she came into her own on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, I’ve been following her. Kylie has a very desirable appearance and pays a lot of attention to her makeup looks; it’s always a joy to draw her. I chose to create this makeup face chart of the icon: a subtle natural look with a pop of color. By the way, a great makeup idea to try out for yourself.
What is a face chart?

The video was first posted on Hearst Sweet Snapchat, and most recently on the Seventeen TikTok.
Below you’ll find the complete video on my YouTube channel, in which all steps are clearly shown.
In short, the description below gives you an idea of the process of drawing with makeup from this Kylie face chart — and which products and techniques have been used.
Once the outlines for the face chart template have been drawn and digitized, I print them out on decent fine art paper. The paper is very nice, soft, and feels like velvet.
Furthermore, I use stencils which I cut out myself with a surgeon’s precision. This prevents the product from getting where it is not wanted, and you can get nice defined edges with it.
First, fill everything within the stencil with a powder in a matching tone, using a thick buffing brush. It goes on subtle, building up layer by layer, and with each layer creates more and more depth in the face.
If after some time, when the contours of the beautiful Kylie Jenner are visible, apply a flush of color to the cheeks. With an eyeshadow in this case, while on a human face a blush would do the trick. This is also very gradual.
The tip is: build it up slowly; adding more product is no problem, but removing “too much” will be difficult.
While the eyebrow shape is already made, also using those handy self-cut stencils, even I am amazed at the smoothness of the transitions. “My brain can’t handle the fact that this is drawn with makeup. It’s so perfect, so beautiful, so unimaginable.” says our contact at Hearst. “You can do it too, you know..” I hear myself say. It’s only 10% talent; the rest is technique and knowledge. Anyone can learn it.
It radiates an enormous calm when I’m face charting; to me it works therapeutically — like a kind of meditation. So in focus and connected with the makeup, that nothing else exists for a while. No daily worries.
